Hi, I’m Dan “DJ” LaVieri — a Certified Public Accountant, firefighter/paramedic, and founder of LaVieri CPA & Tax Advisory LLC. I started this firm with one goal in mind: to provide honest, dependable, and proactive tax and advisory services for individuals, families, and small businesses who value clarity and trust.

A Dual Career Built on Service

I’ve served as a firefighter/paramedic since 2014 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2023. I currently serve as president of my fire department’s pension board, and I previously held a board position with Naperville Firefighters for a Cause, a 501(c)(3) charity. My work in public service has shaped the way I approach accounting — with integrity, calm under pressure, and an unwavering commitment to the people who rely on me.

My Path to Becoming a CPA

In 2017, I returned to school to pursue a long-standing passion for finance and accounting. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy in 2019 and passed the CPA exam in 2020.

From there, I gained experience at a mid-size CPA firm, working with a wide range of clients. In 2022, I joined a family CPA firm to assist them with tax return preparation, bookkeeping, and their business clients. Now, I’m proud to take the next step by launching my own firm and delivering a personalized, relationship-driven approach to tax and advisory services.

Rooted in Family and Community

I currently live in the southwest suburbs of Chicago with my wife and our four young children. Family is the foundation of everything I do, and it’s one of the reasons I’m passionate about helping clients build financial stability, protect their future, and minimize stress around taxes.
